Quasar Parts
Over the last couple of years I have tracked down and bought up the entire remaining stock of Quasar parts left from the factories closure. Whilst many parts are unavailable I have generous stocks of some others. Contact me for details.
I have recently had a new mould made for the Quasar bodyshell. Should your body be looking rough or if you want to preserve your original by using a new replica part let me know. The new shell is some 25lbs lighter than the original even when using standard GRP materials. The cost for these replica body shells would be in the region of £700.
Windscreen Badges
I have commissioned a local firm to make a batch of new windscreen badges. The badges measure 38cm x 11cm and are copies of the original design. These are available for £5 each, (including P&P).
Quasar House Signs
I have recently commissioned the manufacture of a pattern for a Quasar house sign. This can include your house number or name and a line drawing of a Quasar engraved in marine ply.
The signs are approximately 60cm x 35cm and cost £40, including postage, with your own choice of text. Available by E-mailing Kneecapper@morgron.freeserve.co.uk

Technical Documentation
Shortly before his tragic death in 1998, John Malfoy, passed on to me a complete set, (I hope !), of engineering drawings covering every manufactured Quasar part.
Should anyone need any part of their bike to be replaced, I can supply all necessary dimensions and information on materials. I'd also be willing to post out photocopies of specific drawings if required, so long as you sub me £2.50 to cover copying, postage and the hassle of getting it done.
I also have a copy of the Romarsh's owners manual, which include tips on handling and riding a Quasar, plus a service schedule, notes on setting up the gear change, on body removal etc.
I have a hand-written notebook from one of the team at Romarsh entitled 'How to Build a Quasar'. It's no model of clarity or comprehensiveness, but it does cover some of the key elements of the process of putting a Quasar together from scratch.
I have a full parts list, detailing all Quasar components by sub-assembly, giving details of the original supplier where parts were bought in. (Now available on-line in the Archives).
Much of this material is of poor quality, hand written then photo-copied, I am working hard at upgrading it by re-typing the lot, but it's a long job. The engineering drawings, for example, are on something resembling fax paper. I am in the middle of digitising them and storing them on CD for easier distribution but, after several days effort, I've done a couple of hundred and I still have about another hundred and fifty to go, so don't hold your breath !
I am happy to make any of this information available to other owners in order to help get as many Quasars on the road as possible, and keep them in a roadworthy state.
Some of this material is available on-line via the ARCHIVES.
